Network documentation

Document networks clearly

Separate spreadsheets for sites, networks, devices and addresses quickly lose their connections. OTTRORA links this information and can optionally add a graphical topology based on imported switch MAC tables.

Practical documentation

Make technical relationships visible

⌘

Clear network structure

Networks are documented with their technical details and corresponding site.

⛓

Graphical topology (Beta)

Imported MAC tables map known devices to switch ports while unknown addresses remain clearly marked.

?

Faster orientation

Search, filters and reports support maintenance, incidents and handovers.

A consistent network baseline

Maintaining network ranges in several files produces conflicting information. OTTRORA reuses existing networks when devices change, helping to avoid unnecessary duplicates.

From site to individual address

The structure runs from the organisational site through network and subnet to an IPv4 or IPv6 address and its associated device.

From MAC import to a port map (Beta)

A documented switch’s complete MAC table can be assembled from multiple terminal pages, reviewed and stored. The topology shows detected devices, unknown MAC addresses and suspected or confirmed uplinks. Changes remain available in switch and port history, and the current view can be exported as a PDF. Automatic discovery through a local agent or API is not part of this Beta.
